fast forward 10 years

10 years later

Where will I be in 10 years? Well first off I will be married to a wonderful man named, Thomas Portwood. We will be living in a house, I’m not sure what town or state we will be living in but we will finally have everything figured out. As for my career, I will have been out of college for 8 years and working in a dental office in my surrounding location. I will enjoy my job but also do photography on the side, doing family portraits and senior pictures. I know I’m super indecisive so I will probably change my major a million times but that what you’re supposed to do, kind of. Hopefully by this time we will be debt free and our cars will be paid off and almost done paying off a house if everything goes as planned. Thomas will be doing something he loves which would involve doing music of some sort, so that may include him working at a music store and doing lessons and then on weekend playing shows. Our plan right now is to wait to have kids when he is 25 years old and for me to be 22, that way we have been married 4 close to 5 years. So if we stick to that plan we will have a child that is 6 years old and right now I don’t like the thought of that. I want to have kids, I just think it’s weird planning to have them, I just want them when I’m completely ready.  I hope after being married for 10 we are happier then when we first got married, I hope we still feel like newlyweds. In our early years of marriage I would like to travel the world with him, I want to do crazy things I won’t be able to do when I’m older and have babies to take care of.

  1. Wow, not even out of high school and talking about having kids sounds crazy to me. I want kids someday, but not anytime soon. I plan to wait till 28'ish. Anytime before that just feels like I can't go out and act like a kid anymore.. buying cars, clothes, overpriced sunglasses. I'll have to pay for diapers and feed another mouth >:D oh and start acting like an adult :)

  2. Haley, that is very inspirational to me because you have so much planned out for you already and so much going for you in the near future. It’s good to hear that you and Thomas plan on waiting a few years to have kids because it’s better to go to college and then after college have a couple of kids, that will also help you both out financially if you do that. So I hope everything works out as what you have got planned out for your future, I also hope it turns out to be a complete success.

  3. I am so happy for you that you're getting married! Its a wonder event and hearing all the details and how excited you are really shows that this was meant to be. It's good to see that you have goals and you're determined to get them set. I personally don't think I would be able to look into peoples mouth all the time. yuck. I think it's cute how you have everything all planned out. (:

  4. Jake would be the first person to be impressed but I'm not too surprised. There are always ups and downs in a relationship but the love will always be in your heart. Just as Jake is my best friend, my mother will always be there for me, and my Scion tC will always be my car beloved first car (that I purchased). When you have kids, please do not be the kind of parent that treats their child with dictatorship and hate. Be sure to make teach your child to accept the different and change the future generation that I fear will be ruined. Looking at the middle schoolers, I am already stricken with agony.
