What does is mean to be educated? To me it means having a future, in this world
you can’t have a good job unless you have a high school
diploma. I think it is a huge accomplishment to graduate from high school since
a lot of people tend to drop out in today’s society, thinking it will be easier
and then later regretting there decision. School/education teaches us tons of responsibilities,
such as obeying rules and teachers, also deadline such as time management. Elementary,
Middle, and High school has taught be so many things, from writing to interacting
with one another. I think we are better
off than other people who do go without school, they may have the same values
but school teaches you things you need to know in the real world. Something
else that is in issue is college, college costs money and if you don’t have
that then you may not be able to go, that doesn’t mean you’re not smart. While you’re
in high school and do hard studies you can receive scholarships that will help
pay for college. I am very thankful for the a+ program, I program that pays for
two years of college in your area all you have to do is keep up your grades,
attendance and have 50 tutor hours. That program has given me two free years of
college and not having to pay, I am blessed to have this to further my
education into a field I love.
Can't have a good job without a High School Diploma? I was thinking can't have a good job without a Bachelor's Degree. I mean with the unemployment rate like it is, and the economy right now, education is extremely necessary. I'm glad you think college is important. It's a very important part of your education you will need.
ReplyDeleteHales, while you and I interpreted this prompt quite differently, I definitely see your point. I saw the prompt as asking what makes a person educated, while you saw it as the importance of education. These might sound the same on the surface, but in depth they are quite different. I do think it's important to receive at least a secondary education, and even better to go above that, especially at the state jobs are currently in. Well done, Haley.
ReplyDeleteHaley, I agree with your view on the importance of education. I also think you are right about high school teaching us valuable skills. We learns a lot of things in high school that aren't necessarily considered curriculum but they're still important. A lot of those things are what help prepare us for the real world. I also agree moving on to college is a smart decision and taking advantage of a+ is an awesome opportunity.
