Sensory Experience

Mission Trip 2009 ( Florida)

See

Unfamiliar cars, Miles of bridges,

 water rushing beneath the tires,

Blue skies, bright scorching sun beating down, damp and muggy atmosphere.

Taste

Ice cold beverages served with a flexible straw

inexpensive grub being served in diminutive to-go sacks.

Scorching yet blistering substances

Hear

Overpowering intensity echoing off the people mover. Obnoxious yells, of excitement for accomplishing the desired endpoint.

The pacific rushing back and forth, swishing of the waves

Clicking of sandals against the unbelievably warm pavement.

Touch/Feel

Blistering sun beating down on my back and head, skin changing colors by the hours

Sand stuck to every inch of our bodies, seaweed stuck in different odd and end places.

Cool, refreshing water running over our sunburnt skin

Smell

The aroma of strong salty water

Sweet smell of protecting your skin

Grills all around firing up to serve famished stomachs on the shore.
